Jon Gosselin has turned down an offer from Playgirl magazine, according to a US report.

The troubled reality television star was approached with an offer to pose that reportedly was worth $20,000, RadarOnline reports exclusively.

The magazine recently snared Levi Johnston, the ex-lover of Bristol Palin and father of her lovechild, Tripp. But Gosselin, a family man and father of eight, will not be taking Johnston’s lead, the report claims.

“He is not doing it,” a representative for Gosselin confirmed on Thursday. Gosselin starred in Jon & Kate Plus 8 with his ex-wife, Kate.

Levi Johnston has said he would let his son Tripp follow in his footsteps and pose for Playgirl magazine when he is old enough.

Johnston, 19, recently posed naked for the women’s magazine and said that if his 11-month-old son wanted to do the same, he would let him.

Johnston said: “Seventeen, no. Eighteen, 19, he’s old enough to make his own decisions. If I’m doing it, I couldn’t tell him not to, I’d be a hypocrite.

“When he’s that age, he’s going to do what he wants to do.”

Asked before the shoot if he was nervous, he said: “I’m not nervous about it. I’m just excited to get it over with.

“I’ve worked hard to do this shoot. I’m just pumped for it.”
