Naked Roman Polanski pic to go under the hammer

A photo of a naked Roman Polanski posing with his wife Sharon Tate shortly before she was murdered is going under the hammer.
The image, shot by photographer David Bailey, is expected to fetch more than $10,000 when it is sold at auction on December 7.
The large-scale gelatin silver print was made from an image taken in 1969.
“It’s an important image,” said Laura Paterson, a vice president at Christie’s auction house.
Polanski, 76, is being held in a Swiss prison pending a decision on a US extradition request. He fled the United States in 1978 while awaiting sentencing for having unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl. He never returned to Los Angeles, where Tate, pregnant with their child, was murdered by followers of Charles Manson.
