Prices for next month’s Masters in Augusta, Georgia, last week went through the roof amid rumours that the shamed PGA-star would be playing.

According to TMZ.com, four-day Masters Badges – which usually sell for $200 each – were listed on Friday for resale at $1950 on GoldenTickets.com.

But when 34-year-old Woods announced on his official website yesterday that he would be attending the competition, prices are said to have skyrocketed to $2400.

The disgraced love cheat is currently fighting to save his marriage with Swedish ex-model Elin Nordegren who is not expected to attend the high-profile tournament.

Golfing ace Tiger Woods has reportedly suffered injuries after his vehicle smashed into a fire hydrant and a tree outside his Orlando home.

The sporting hero was said to have been at the wheel of his 2009 black Cadillac Escalade when it veered out of control outside the exclusive property in Isleworth, at about 2.30am on Friday.

Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) confirmed to local TV news that Woods was driving the vehicle and was injured in the crash.

Sources say he suffered facial lacerations and was pulled from the wreckage by firefighters before being rushed to Health Central Hospital.

FHP said the crash is still under investigation and confirmed that alcohol was not involved.

No charges have been filed.

American footballer Hank Baskett is going to join the Colts.

After recently been let go by his old team The Philadelphia Eagles to make room for controversial quarterback Michael Vick, Hank is now rumoured to be signing with the Colts.

A source told People.com that Baskett, 27, who is married to The Girls Next Door star and Playboy model Kendra Wilkinson, 24, is now en route to Indianapolis, Ind., to sign with the team.

One of Russell Crowe’s rugby league team players has brought shame on the star by allegedly knocking out the team’s coach during season’s end celebrations.

The news comes on the heels of one of Crowe’s sport sermons to his players warning against off-field incidents. Now the team he co-sponsors with local magnate Peter Holmes a Court is under a cloud due to the many off-field incidents including a major sex scandal in the sport over the past year.

Chief executive for the South Sydney Rabbitohs team, Shane Richardson, tried to downplay the charge. He said: “I don’t think there’s anything too major in it but we’ll investigate it tomorrow and make a statement after that. I don’t want to rush into anything until I find out all the details.”

The incident allegedly took place between player David Fa’alogo and coach Jason Tayor at the Forresters Hotel in inner-city Surry Hills. Fa’alogo’s manager, Gavin Orr, said Fa’alogo told him there wasn’t much in the incident.

Fa’alogo, a Kiwi international, meanwhile, has been let go to take up an offer with English club Huddersfield.

Fox also revealed that she is comfortable with being called a sex symbol, unlike other A-list actresses, but is shy about her own looks.

“I would say I was average. I think maybe all of us are average. You come into this business and you have amazing hair and make-up people who make you look the way that sometimes we look.”

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria has married her fiance, basketball player Tony Parker, in a civil ceremony in Paris.

The couple are thought to be holding a second ceremony at a Paris church – followed by a star-studded party at a 17th Century chateau – on Saturday.

Paris mayor Bertrand Delanoe confirmed he had conducted the civil ceremony.

French law requires couples to exchange vows at a city hall, even if they have a church wedding as well.
