At around 2AM on Sunday morning, R&B singer D’Angelo was arrested in the West Village of Manhattan by an undercover policewoman after he mistook her for a prostitute and offered her $40 for oral sex. What? Couldn’t he afford a better deal than that? The officer promptly busted his ass and did a search of his vehicle which was reported to have had $12,000 stashed inside. And he was such a cheapskate! Maybe that would have been a $40 for down payment and would increase if it was any good. What an idiot! If the cop wasn’t offended after being mistaken for a prostitute, I bet that she was after having found the money.

The singer has apparently made a wrong move by giving up her collaboration with record label Hidden Beach which is now suing Jill Scott for undisclosed damages and attorney fees. Actually, the reason of the lawsuit they are filling is apparently the following: “Hidden Beach poured its heart and soul into making poet and soul and R & N singer and songwriter Jill Scott a superstar.” Well, it sucks for them that Jill Scott is such and ungrateful… artist, but if it’s not in the contract, then they probably don’t have a shot. Oh well, time to move on to the next big discovery.

The Black Crowes lead singer Chris Robinson and his wife Allison Bridges welcomed daughter Cheyenne Genevieve Robinson into the world on December 26! Chris and Allison were married earlier this year and revealed back in September that they were expecting their first child together. Chris has an older son, Ryder, with his ex-wife, actress Kate Hudson. I wonder how he feels about having a little sister to play with. Congratulations to the happy family and I hope that everyone is healthy. I wonder how Kate feels that Chris is settled once again and she’s still flailing around in the singles pool.

Joss Stone opened her big mouth again about her marijuana usage and now she has the National Drugs Prevention Alliance all riled up. In a new interview, the singer didn’t hold anything back about how often she smokes weed and whether or not she likes other drugs. She said “I smoke weed, but I don’t think it’s really a drug. It’s more of a herb. I don’t regret saying that at all. I think everyone smokes weed and people who say they don’t are lying! It depends if I’m working, and on what song. And whether it’s a smoking studio or not! It’s like having a drink.” Her comments have upset anti-drug campaigners in Britain and the head of the NDPA said “She should consider the effects that her comments have on other people, especially young fans who look up to her. People like Joss Stone should keep their mouths shut about things like this.” She needs to shut up altogether.

The pop singer has recently admitted that she finds women to be naturally much sexier than men. This is what Christina Aguillera said on the matter: “I think women are such sensual beings. And, I mean, I’m attracted to men ultimately – I’m married and I love my husband and I love what we do together, but honestly? If I had the choice between viewing a naked man or a naked woman, I’d choose the woman. We’re just naturally sexier and more beautiful to look at.” Basically, what Christina Aguillera is trying to subtly say here, and failing miserably at it, is that men are doomed to be unattractive. Alleged pictures of REM singer Michael Stipe and his boyfriend Thomas Dozol were recently uploaded to the website guyswithiphones.com a couple of weeks ago but it looks like they had someone else with them. All four pictures appear to have been taken from the same bathroom but there is a third mystery guy who happens to be showing off his naked bad. Did someone have a threesome? After rumors of a steamy love affair, Eddie Cibrian had distance himself from his Lifetime movie co-star LeAnn Rimes. However, Eddie’s wife Brandi Glanville has come out with fighting words, claiming that the country singer is still obsessed with her husband. Brandi told Us Weekly “LeAnn Rimes is a stalker. She refuses to leave us alone — it is shameful and scary. People are going to say it takes two to tango and I get that, but at some point LeAnn Rimes needs to stop asking him to dance… LeAnn is so desperate for fame she has left her self-respect in the gutter and doesn’t care who she hurts to get what she wants. She’s hurting my family and messing with the wrong mom.”

Kylie Minogue denied the swell of rumours that she was about to announce her engagement to Spanish boyfriend Andres Velencoso.

Sparkling in several glam outfits in Cannes, Minogue sang his praises and said a firm but smiling “no” in an Australian television report.

Instead she threw the attention onto her interviewer: “She’s got a corsage – she’s ready to go!” joked Minogue.

The pair are reportedly looking to buy a property in Spain together in the fishing village of Tossa Del Mar, north of Barcelona.

Minogue performed at a charity event at the Riviera film festival.

Holly Madison will take over from Kelly Monaco in burlesque act PeepShow, she has revealed.

The 29-year-old said: “I feel like this is perfect for me.” She added: “I’ve always wanted to be in a really classy, sexy burlesque show.”

Holly dated Playboy boss Hugh Hefner, 83, for five years before they split last year and she left the mansion.

Kelly Monaco, 32, originally signed a three-month deal to star in the show and it is claimed Madison has signed a similar contract.

Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown, 33, also appears in the show, which features topless dancers but neither Melanie or Kelly go topless and Holly won’t either, it has been claimed.

Holly added: “It’s going to be a blast.”

She added: “It’s given me a lot more confidence. From being on that show, it will definitely help me stick to a really strict workout routine.”

Lady Gaga recently sat down for an interview with Blender magazine where she talked about writing a record and choosing which songs to put on a record. She gave an interesting analogy as she said “Writing a record is like dating a few men at once. You take them to the same restaurants to see if they measure up, and at some point you decide who you like best. O’Day said she was making a statement against California’s Prop 8, which made gay marriage illegal. Not that she wants to marry her “girlfriend” if Prop 8 is ever overturned. “We don’t need a piece of paper to validate our relationship,” O’Day joked, adding that her dog, Ginger, was “also a lesbian.”

Kanye West’s Curb Your Enthusiasm-inspired comedy for HBO has been shelved, possibly for being ‘too hardcore’.
HBO, the former home of the Sopranos, is afraid of hardcore?????
Since when did that happen? They had Italians whacking each other’s heads every other week!
Here’s what Larry Charles, had to say about the cancellation:
“It was really good, but again I think it was too hardcore for HBO…People gave it a very good response and it seems to be on the shelf right now. The management has shifted at HBO so we’re waiting to see.”
No wonder HBO has been sucking lately!

Contrary to earlier reports, Hugh Hefner’s first girl, Holly Madison, is not moving out of the Playboy Mansion. And she is not hooking up with sleazy magician Criss Angel, either.

According to the executive producer of the show, The Girls Next Door, “Holly has not moved out and has no plans to do so. She is very much busy supervising and editing Playmate shoots at Playboy Studios West. She’s also been working with my company on several new ideas for Playboy-themed TV shows and specials.”

He adds, “Holly’s trips to Vegas have been ‘mini-vacations’ to hang out with friends and to scout for the magazine. She’s just having a good time.”

We can now breathe a collective sigh of relief as one of TV’s best guilty pleasures is not about to get cancelled and more importantly the Playboy empire of high-class hoochie will lose their queen.

But she admits the decision would have backfired on her if medics had discovered the cancer gene.

Cassie added: “I’m sitting there with my parents, my mum’s sobbing after she finds out that I don’t have the gene, and I’m like, ‘Guess what, mum and dad, I got my nipples pierced.’ It was nerve-racking because I was like, ‘My mum’s going to kill me if I have this gene and I got these things.’”

Although she is not shy about stripping off for work, the 20-year-old sexpot says she would never want to do a photo shoot in the buff.

She said: “I am only 20 so my mother would kill me if I posed nude! When I did that metallic body paint stuff for my video, I didn’t do it to show my body. I didn’t do it for people to like me. I did it because it was a cool visual, unexpected, and it looked hot.”

She added: “I have done a lot of photo shoots for magazines but it’s always great to be shot for a cover because you know that you are looked at as a fashion icon.”
