After rumors went around that Asher Roth was going to come out on E! News this week, the rapper has issued an official statement to set the record straight regarding his sexuality. He said “I hate to disappoint and take away the entertainment of it all but I am straight, not gay. It’s disheartening to know such news on someone’s personal life can be portrayed as fact with no viable source… Further, someone’s sexual orientation should NEVER be big news, as it delivers a troubling message to children that they can’t be themselves without fear of judgement… It’s extremely disappointing that this topic would be used with the intention of being hurtful. We are near 2010….2010!! Yet race, sex and religion still play a major role in a hate-driven society. For the love of the future and humanity….let’s wake up.”

Actress Hayden Panettiere has revealed that she is just friends with actor Kevin Connolly.

The Heroes star, 20, laughed off the rumours that she and the Entourage star, 35, are an item.

She said: “I’ve known Kevin for so long.

“You can’t have friends with the opposite sex [sic]. It’s so funny. We’re just friends.”

The pair first sparked rumours they were dating after they were spotted deep in conversation together at the Emmy awards after-party on 20 September.

Panettiere split with her Heroes co-star Milo Ventimiglia, 31, in February.

Actor Gerard Butler has denied rumours he is dating Jennifer Aniston.

The PS I Love You star has insisted that him and Aniston are just friends.

The Scottish hunk, 39, was rumoured to be dating the 40-year-old actress when the pair were seen getting cosy on the set of The Bounty and were recently spotted out at a restaurant together.

Butler said: “I don’t know why you bother setting the record straight because people always print it anyway. But no, there’s nothing going on.”

The actress recently revealed that she had previously attended law school before getting into acting. Portia de Rossi said: “I went to law school for a year thinking I was going to do that for a living before I went to acting. To think that career could have been my life is pretty shocking to me.” Portia de Rossi also commented on the character she plays in the upcoming movie “Better off Ted”: “You’re just trying to get ahead and be successful, but at the same time, if you’re working for a company like this, it’s so immoral. Lindsay Lohan still drinks champagne. Despite being treated for alcoholism last year, the 22-year-old actress still likes to indulge in her favorite beverage.

Sad news, but singer Natalie Cole has been diagnosed with Hepatitis-C. Hep-C is a liver disease that is spread through contact with infected blood. Guesses are she contracted it through past drug use.

Natalie has been on meds and releases this statement, “I am committed to my belief in myself and in my abiding faith to meet this challenge with a heartfelt optimism and determination. This is how I intend to deal with this current challenge in my life.”

Poor Alex Rodriguez…the media is all over his relationship with wife Cynthia these days. Last week, he fended off rumors that he was having an affair with Madonna. Her rep says that’s just not true.

Now, it’s Cynthia who is having the affair…with Lenny Kravitz? Supposedly she ran off to Paris to be with him. But Lenny says, “There is absolutely no affair between Cynthia Rodriguez and myself. This is unequivocally 100 percent not true.”

Well, the day is here. Gay couples can now obtain marriage licenses in California. The first to do so in West Hollywood? Star Wars star George Takei and partner of 21 years Brad Altman.

Earlier in the week of the fire, Shaniqua’s new boyfriend who recently moved into the house got in an argument with 50’s posse at a lawyer’s office. Police found a 5-gallon gas container on the property shortly after the fire broke out. The fire remains under investigation. 50 denies any involvement in the fire and is not a suspect.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell IS going bald, a pal confirmed this week.
