Johnny Depp has topped GQ’s 25 Most Stylish Men in the World list, beating David Beckham, Russell Brand, Pete Doherty and five other Brits to the title.

The 46-year-old actor – who appears on the front cover of the February issue – was praised for de-mystifying “the icon of eccentric cool”.

“Johnny Depp’s a unicorn – a really glamorous, one-of-a-kind eccentric,” says Simon Doonan, the creative director of US store Barney’s.

UK-born Doonan adds: “He doesn’t shy away from colour. He’s always peeking through his amazing hair. It doesn’t matter if Johnny Depp’s lying in a ditch – he’s always going to look incredible.”

Russell Brand, 34, is one of eight Brits celebrated in the US edition of GQ.

He joins David Beckham, actors Jude Law, Robert Pattinson and Daniel Day-Lewis.

Rockers Pete Doherty, former Clash bassist Paul Simonon and Talking Heads frontman David Byrne make it eight.

US talent such as rappers Andre Benjamin, Pharrell Williams and Jay-Z also made the list along with Clint Eastwood, Brad Pitt and American football player Tom Brady.

New Moon stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are reportedly being asked to take part in George Clooney’s telethon to raise money for Haiti.

The Caribbean country was recently devastated by an earthquake measuring a magnitude of 7, and 50,000 people are thought to have been killed.

Clooney, 48, is hosting a telethon to raise funds for the people and it is claimed he wants New Moon stars Pattinson, 23, Stewart, 19, and Taylor Lautner, 17, to get involved.

It is not known if the actors are available to take part, but a source said: “She’d jump at the chance to do something to help.”

Kristen Stewart’s character in Twilight, Bella, flies in the face of dating lore: she runs after her man after he has dumped her. Stewart, however, thinks she is the perfect example for girls.

When Stewart, who is linked to co-star Robert Pattinson, was asked if Bella’s actions set a bad example for the 13-year-old girls who flock to Twilight movies, she said: “Be extreme. Go for it. I think that’s the point. I know that this is a movie about immortality and mortality but, like, you live once.”

Twilight fever is sweeping capital cities, with the premiere of the second latest installment, New Moon.

Of Bella, Stewart added: “She has a lot of really innate female qualities. For a character in literature, I think it’s awesome that so many girls can look up to her, because she’s fickle and unabashedly [so].”

Sharon Osbourne has admitted she would get arrested if she revealed what she would like to do to Twilight hunk, Robert Pattinson.

The America’s Got Talent judge confessed she has a huge crush on the 23-year-old English star.

And she revealed that she wants to lick David Beckham because she fancies him so much.

Sharon, 56, played a game on US TV where she was shown photos of various stars and told to say the first thing that came into her mind.

When shown a picture of soccer star Beckham, she kissed it and said: “I want to lick him.

“Lick, lick, lick. He’s adorable.”

Then when she was handed an image of Robert Pattinson, she clutched it to her breast and admitted: “I think I could get arrested if I said what I wanted to do with him, what’s really on my mind.”

She also had praise for Lady GaGa.

She told American television’s The Ellen DeGeneres Show: “I do like her. “[She's] strange, but I like her. I love Poker Face.

“She’s a breath of fresh air for the industry right now.”

Actress Kristin Stewart has said she finds vampires sexy.

The Twilight star is fascinated by “completely letting something take over”.

She said: “Vampires are sexy because they are meant to draw you in to the point where they have you in a complete state of submission.

“So that’s sexy a little bit – to give yourself to something; to completely let something take over.”

The 19-year-old star added: “It’s forbidden fruit, something you can’t have but just want more.”

Stewart is rumoured to be dating her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson, 23, who plays the lead vampire in the film series, but has denied all speculation that the pair are romancing.

The second film in the Twilight series, New Moon, hits cinemas on November 20.

Women of the world, rejoice! Actors Robert Pattinson and Hugh Jackman are teaming up for a hunk-tastic new film.

In a dream match-up, the 23-year-old teen-favourite star of Twilight and the 39-year-old “sexiest man alive” have signed up for Unbound Captives.

The period film, also starring Rachel Weisz, revolves around a woman whose husband is killed and her two children kidnapped by a Native-American tribe.

Pattinson will play her son, while Jackman will play a frontiersman who tries to save the day.

The film was written by actress Madeleine Stowe, who is set to direct it, in what will be her debut behind the camera.

“Robert said yes last autumn, before everything broke with Twilight. Hugh said yes a couple of weeks ago,” she told Variety.com.

The production is set to begin by the end of the year.
