Jesse James faces porn star ex-wife in court over custody battle

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

Sandra Bullock’s husband Jesse James is still locked in a custody battle with his ex-wife and porn star Janine Lindemulder.

Acccording to reports, a judge has denied Lindemulder visitation rights to see the couple’s six-year-old daughter Sunny, who has lived with James and Hollywood actress Bullock since January 2009.

But Lindemulder – currently in a halfway house following a parole violation – did win the right to make daily phone calls to Sunny.

Bullock, 45, has been helping James, 40, raise Sunny for the past year while the adult film actress was in prison for tax evasion.

Lindemulder served six months in jail and was released in July 2009.

On Monday, James complained in court about the latest ruling and told the judge that his ex-wife: “Texts up to 20 times a day, demanding to talk to Sunny but sometimes she’ll go a week at a time where she doesn’t make a call.”

He also claimed that Lindemulder “has no filter” when it comes to discussing her recent time in prison. James told the court: “There’s a lot of conversation about prison or jail and things that I don’t think a six-year-old can comprehend or process.”

He also told the judge that his ex was a no-show on Christmas.

The next hearing is scheduled for June 14.

Cuba Gooding Jr, lauded for his star turn in Jerry Maguire, is being sought for a movie role to play fallen golf hero Tiger Woods, according to a UK report.

Gooding played the taciturn Rod Tidwell alongside Tom Cruise’s unforgettable Jerry in the movie about a footballer desperately seeking stardom. A Hollywood producer said: “It [the proposed film] makes a great movie because people love the drama of seeing someone really successful fall from the top and then scramble to pick up the pieces of their life.”

Woods’ life has become the stuff of high drama amid revelations and allegations of his multiple affairs while married to Elin Nordegren. She is believed to be looking toward divorce in the new year.

The golfer’s billion-dollar career appears to be in hiatus after he announced he was taking a break from the sport to sort out his personal life.

Roman Polanski’s movie to premiere at Berlin

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

Roman Polanski’s latest movie, The Ghost, will premiere at the Berlin film festival in February 2010.

The fugitive film director is under house arrest in Switzerland pending the decision of Swiss authorities on whether to extradite him to the US, where he is wanted on 30-year-old charges.

California prosecutors last week called for Polanski to face court in the US to argue his case for having the charges of unlawful sex with a minor dropped.

Polanski, 76, took flight from the US in 1978 after admitting he had unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl at the house of actor Jack Nicholson, who was away at the time.

The Ghost stars Ewan McGregor and Pierce Brosnan and tells the story of a ghost writer hired to complete the memoirs of a former British prime minister who uncovers secrets that put his own life in jeopardy.

The movie will have its world premiere along with Shutter Island, directed by Martin Scorsese, at the highly regarded 60th annual Berlin festival from February 11 to 21.

Bella sets good example for teen girls: Kristen Stewart

Friday, November 20th, 2009

SPL139385_001

Kristen Stewart’s character in Twilight, Bella, flies in the face of dating lore: she runs after her man after he has dumped her. Stewart, however, thinks she is the perfect example for girls.

When Stewart, who is linked to co-star Robert Pattinson, was asked if Bella’s actions set a bad example for the 13-year-old girls who flock to Twilight movies, she said: “Be extreme. Go for it. I think that’s the point. I know that this is a movie about immortality and mortality but, like, you live once.”

Twilight fever is sweeping capital cities, with the premiere of the second latest installment, New Moon.

Of Bella, Stewart added: “She has a lot of really innate female qualities. For a character in literature, I think it’s awesome that so many girls can look up to her, because she’s fickle and unabashedly [so].”

SPL50242_001

Megan Fox has told of her embarrassment at having to snog co-star Amanda Seyfried in front of the crew of their new movie.

The Transformers hottie said neither she or Seyfried wanted to do the scene in horror flick, Jennifer’s Body, in which they share a steamy same-sex kiss.

And she said it was made even worse because she had to do it in a room full of male technicians.

She said: “It’s really, really awkward.

“Any time you do a kissing scene or a love scene it’s awkward but especially in that one because neither one of us wanted to be doing it and we were both terrified.

“But when you do scenes like that, it’s not at all sexy or sensual.

“You’re in a room and it’s full of these middle-aged crew guys who are eating their sunflower seeds waiting for you to get it right so that they can go home to their kids.”

Megan, 23, added: “They don’t even want to be there.”

Actress Anna Paquin says she doesn’t wear a bra when she makes love

Monday, August 24th, 2009

Anna Paquin wants the world to know that she doesn’t wear a bra when she’s having sex and that’s why she is happy to appear nude in onscreen love scenes.

The 27-year-old actress, who plays Sookie Stackhouse in True Blood, says: “Maybe there are a lot of women who keep their bras on while they have sex. I don’t happen to be one of them.

“I don’t think a naked body is particularly shocking or interesting. It’s not the culture I was raised in.

“I was not brought up in the United States. I don’t share the [attitude] that you can have graphic violence but – God forbid – you can’t see someone’s nipples.”

Paquin, who was raised in New Zealand, films many of her love scenes for the TV series with her real-life love, fiancé Stephen Moyer.

“I am happy,” the blonde says of her life.

“I’ve somehow managed to get into a situation where my personal life and my professional life are not at odds.

Like the vampire genre Paquin has become more popular in recent years. She attributes that to the cyclical nature of popular culture.

“It’s hard to explain why certain things hit the pop-culture fascination when they do,” she says.

“It’s like, why does a certain type of clothing come back into fashion? Why, suddenly, is someone wearing something they wouldn’t have been caught dead in six months beforehand?

“How do you explain a trend? You can’t.”

Leo DiCaprio’s Shutter Island delayed

Monday, August 24th, 2009

SPL73770_008

Shutter Island, a hotly anticipated new movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio, will have its release delayed, Paramount said.

The US release of the movie directed by Martin Scorsese will be put back from October 2 until February 19, 2010.

“Our 2009 slate was green-lit in a very different economic climate and as a result we must remain flexible and willing to recalibrate and adapt to a changing environment,” said Paramount Pictures chairman and chief executive officer Brad Grey.

The movie, set in 1954, is the tale of an upcoming US marshal assigned to investigate the disappearance of a patient from Boston’s Shutter Island Ashecliffe Hospital.

“Martin Scorsese is not just one of the world’s most significant filmmakers, but also a personal friend,” Grey said. “Following a highly successful 2009, we have every confidence that Shutter Island is a great anchor to lead off our 2010 slate, and the shift in date is the best decision for the film, the studio and ultimately [Paramount parent] Viacom.”

Brad Pitt not called in for Sherlock Holmes – studio

Brad Pitt is not reuniting with director Guy Ritchie to make Sherlock Holmes, according to Warner Bros.

Pitt was earlier reported to be arriving in London to take up the role of Moriarty, nemesis to the famous and much-loved British detective.

But Warner Bros., which is making the movie, disputed the claim in a statement to a magazine.

A studio representative said: “The report in today’s London Mirror is completely inaccurate. Brad Pitt is not joining the cast of Sherlock Holmes and we’re extremely pleased with the production of the film.”

The earlier report claimed Ritchie didn’t like the look of the movie, which co-stars Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr, and that he called in Pitt for an 11th-hour rescue.

But the rep said plans for its release will go ahead. “As planned, it will be released on Christmas Day 2009. In order to complete the movie, we’ve scheduled a few days on set to shoot a couple of additional scenes, obtain pick-up shots, and perfect some of the visual effects elements, all of which is standard film-making practice.”

Sacha Baron Cohen has revealed he used a former bodyguard for Enrique Iglesias when he interviewed a terrorist in the West Bank for his new film, Bruno.

The funnyman dropped his gay fashionista alter ego and played it straight when he appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman last night.

In the rare interview out of character, Cohen joked about the bizarre choice of bodyguard, saying: “I knew he would take a bra for me.”

For the film, Cohen travelled to the Middle East where he met one of the alleged leaders of terrorist group Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade in character as Bruno.

In the scene, Bruno calls Al Qaeda ’so 2001′ and talks about being abducted by the Palestinian group to achieve worldwide fame.

Cohen told Letterman that when his team finally found a real terrorist for him to interview, most security firms refused the job of accompanying him to the West Bank, so he wound up with a bodyguard who last protected Enrique Iglesias.

“His main job had been protecting Enrique from flying underwear,” Cohen told Letterman. “I knew, if it came to it, this guy would take a bra for me.”
