With neither Madonna nor Guy present, the couple’s marriage was pronounced officially over at the Principal Registry of the Family Division in High Holburn, London last week. When informed with the results of the proceedings, Guy reportedly responded with “Thank God!” He also told friends “It was never about money – never about her bloody art collection. I just wanted to settle it and move on.” While Lourdes will reside in New York with her mom, sons Rocco and David will reportedly split their time equally in the US and London.
If you happen to be living under a rock for the past couple of weeks, Madonna is getting a divorce from her husband of almost 8 years, Guy Ritchie. The singer’s publicist officially confirmed the news recently and she made sure to point out in the statement that the couple have yet to agree on a settlement. It pretty much says that things are about to get messy. Sources confirm that Madonna and Guy did not have a prenuptial agreement. A source says “Guy is a gold digger who was in from the get-go for the money. He forced her to have no prenup. He is nothing more than a wolf in a great sheep outfit!”
