Hollywood actor Charlie Sheen is to stand trial over a Christmas Day bust-up with his wife, according to reports.

The Two And A Half Men star reportedly entered a not guilty plea to menacing, third degree assault and criminal mischief during a court appearance today.

A three-day trial is scheduled to begin this year on 21 July.

Sheen, 44, arrived at court in Aspen, Colorado, flanked by his legal team and publicist and flashing peace signs to a crowd of reporters and photographers, according to reports.

He has been charged with domestic abuse following a row with wife Brooke Mueller on Christmas Day.

Mueller told the emergency services that he had threatened her and held a knife to her throat.

According to celebrity website TMZ.com, Sheen is considering taking a plea deal – but only if the charge level is dropped to a misdemeanor rather than a felony.

Prosecutors, however, allegedly want him to plead guilty to the felony charge or stand trial. They are not believed to be seeking jail time for the actor.

In 1997, Sheen pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery in a domestic violence case involving his then-girlfriend Brittany Ashland.

Reports that Abbie Cornish dumped actor Ryan Phillippe were turned on their head by Phillippe.

The former husband of Reese Witherspoon, who had been living with the Australian star of Bright Star in Los Angeles, had his reps saying he ended it – not she.

The he-said, she-said emerged in reports in Australia today. Phillippe’s publicist was reported by the AAP claiming the actor ended the relationship weeks ago. “Ryan ended the relationship with Abbie while she was in Australia, which was before New York Fashion Week, and asked her to move out of his house, which she did this weekend,” Phillippe’s representative said.

The actor’s appearance at Fashion Week was noted by observers and raised eyebrows. The spokesperson said: “She was out of town working for seven months and they grew apart.”

Earlier reports had the actor’s philandering ways blamed for the split. “Abbie ended it and moved out,” the Daily Telegraph reports Cornish’s rep underlining. The pair had been together for four years.

Tiger Woods and his wife Elin Nordegren left Orlando on a private jet in the wake of a public apology Woods made in an attempt to repair his name.

Woods was believed to be making his way back to rehab, which Nordegren had earlier reportedly attended as a significant other for counselling sessions.

The former swimsuit model, who had been without her wedding ring and frosty toward Woods, had played an hour of tennis with her spouse late on Saturday before preparing to fly out, RadarOnline reported.

Woods spent the previous 45 days at a sex rehab clinic. Whether or not the couple were headed from Orlando back to the Pine Grove Clinic in Mississippi or to a different centre was unknown, Radar said.

Ronnie Wood’s ex-wife Jo has revealed that she has had two romantic flings since the ageing rocker left her after 23 years of marriage.

Jo, 54, was ditched by the 62-year-old Rolling Stones guitarist 18 months ago for Russian waitress Katia Ivanova, who was 19 at the time.

Talking about how she got over the marriage breakdown, Jo said: “A girlfriend said to me that one of the ways to get over someone is to do it with someone else. So I did – twice.”

Movie superstar Brad Pitt was noticeably absent as his film Inglourious Basterds won at the SAG Awards amid reports he is splitting up with Angelina Jolie.

The Hollywood hunk missed out on the celebrations as his co-stars in the hit war film picked up the award for Outstanding Cast of a Motion Picture on Saturday night.

It came as a UK tabloid reported Pitt and Jolie have seen divorce lawyers and signed a £205 million split deal.

The world’s most famous couple are said to have secretly signed legal papers agreeing to divide their huge fortune and share their six children.

Pitt was in LA for the Hope For Haiti Now telethon on Friday night – but there was no sign of him at the SAG Awards, which he has attended with Jolie in the past.

Director Quentin Tarantino and other cast members including Eli Roth, Diane Kruger and Christoph Waltz were present to receive the award from Pitt’s close pal George Clooney.

No explanation was given for Pitt’s absence in the live televised show.

The UK tabloid reports the Brangelina couple will announce their separation soon to end months of speculation their five-year relationship is on the rocks.

They are said to have started planning a split in December, when they reportedly visited a top LA divorce firm.

Charlie Sheen is expected to resume taping his hit sitcom Two and a Half Men next week, a friend of the actor has revealed.

The source also corroborates various reports now surfacing that claim family members suggested to Sheen – before the alleged Christmas Day incident with wife Brooke Mueller that landed him in jail – that he not join her in Aspen.

Sheen was “warned” not to go, says the friend, since the couple were having marital problems.

The source also mentions that Mueller was aware of how much ex-wife Denise Richards received in her divorce from Sheen, and people close to the actor believed Mueller may have been looking to exit the marriage.

Tiger Woods’s wife Elin Nordegren is reportedly facing a loss of at least $30million if she opts for an early divorce.

Though spotted without her wedding ring, Nordegren is still on the fence about divorcing him, the UK Mirror reports.

A top US divorce lawyer has estimated Nordegren could expect just $20million of the star’s estimated $1billion fortune if she walked out now.

Celebrity divorce lawyer Raoul Felder said Nordegren would be “financially ill-advised” to do so.

Nordegren, 29, was widely reported last week to be “100 percent on” for a divorce. She was estimated to be receiving $100million.

But Felder says if Nordegren divorces Woods immediately she would only be entitled under Florida law to the $20million she agreed in her 2004 prenup. Should Nordegren stay with her marriage for another two years, her legal team could possibly get her an additional $55million.

Meanwhile, the attractive blonde is set to spend the Christmas break with her family in Sweden.

It seems that after getting a certification as a saucier, Kelis is now thinking about launching her own range of sauces. This is what Kelis said about her new plans: “I want to have my own sauce line. I became a saucier in school. I love the lifestyle of a great meal. Former supermodel Stephanie Seymour is getting a stunning US$270,000 a month while she battles her divorce.

The former Victoria’s Secret beauty is battling husband Peter Brant for a share of his fortune – while he attacks her spending sprees at clothing boutiques.

A judge in Connecticut ordered Brant to pay Seymour US$270,000 a month while the ongoing court hearings evaluate their finances.

But for Brant, the staggering figure is barely a drop in the ocean as this year his monthly net income has been US$1.552 million.

In court papers he is said to have assets of US$490 million – but still he attacks his ex for her spending habits, especially at high-end stores such as New York’s Bergdorf Goodman.

“He said he did not understand why she was paying retail at Bergdorf’s when she could get clothes, at a discounted price, from the atelier in Paris of their friend, the designer Azzedine Alaia, who Mr Brant considers to be the best couture designer of the 20th century,” Judge Elaine Gordon wrote in her decision in Superior Court judge in Middletown.

Katie Price’s rival Nicola McLean was seen playing with Katie’s children during scenes on her ex-hubby Peter Andre’s TV show.

In scenes that are sure to anger the 31-year-old model, Nicola, 24, was seen visiting Peter, 36, while they were both on holiday in Marbella and playing with their children Princess, two, and Junior, four.

Nicola was accompanied by her husband Tom Williams and their young son, Rocky.

Katie and Peter’s son Junior became fond of Nicola during the visit, and Nicola joked that she had become Junior’s “13th girlfriend”.

As Junior perched himself next to the model, Nicola played along and said: “Are you rubbing my hair, Junior? Oh you’re romantic, aren’t you? Do you like my hair?”

The little boy then asked her how old she was and she replied: ‘I’m five.”

Nicola was then seen running around the garden with her new admirer as well as her son Rocky.

Junior then invited Nicola to the family’s holiday home in Cyprus and said her son Rocky could come but not husband Tom.

Katie has previously said that Nicola, who starred in ITV show I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, was trying to imitate her.

It was recently announced that Nicola and husband Tom are expecting their second child together.

Yesterday was a really big day in the singer’s life: he finally got his divorce papers, which means his poisonous union with Katie Price is finally over. Peter Andre reportedly told his brother and his agent the following: “It’s over. I’ve moved on. It’s been hard but you guys have always been there for me. I’ve been hurt by this but I’m a stronger man now. I can cope with anything.” Yep, Peter Andre can cope with anything now, just until the next ball buster comes along and ruins everything. But hey, he’s got his kids to look after and a fight with Alex Reid coming up, he must be pumped!

Jon Gosselin was up in arms after his divorcing wife Kate proposed rationing their twins’ birthday time this weekend.

Kate, in an email titled “Mady and Cara birthday schedule – proposed”, offers Jon a time slot due to their strained relationship and “events”.

Those events include an emergency court date that fell through when the judge was called away on personal business. Kate alleges Jon is in contempt of their divorce filing and demands he pay her US$230,000 within 24 hours. She alleges he withdrew the funds from a joint bank account.

Kate writes: “Jon. Due to the recent events, it will be too stressful for the kids to have both of us here as we had originally planned.”

Jon appeared on ET and elsewhere to flatly deny the funds charge, saying all he wants is for the couple to move forward as Mom and Dad and that he realises they will not be husband and wife.

Kate appears to soothe the sting of the birthday issue by offering Jon a kids slot from her weekend time running from noon Saturday, to Sunday evening.

In the ET segment, Jon mentions the twins birthday party with apparent eagerness, as the next time he is due to see Kate. But the party slot she offers is 4pm to 6pm – minus Kate.

Reality star Jon Gosselin reportedly wants to slow down his divorce from wife Kate – but hasn’t told his estranged wife.

Jon, 32, has eight children with wife Kate, 34, and the couple were the stars of reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8 before their split. It was recently announced that the next season of the show will be called Kate Plus 8.

Jon recently said to a magazine that he wants to put his divorce on hold for 90 days to try and restore their relationship.

However RadarOnline.com is claiming that he has not mentioned his plans to Kate either in person or on the phone.

A source said that Jon sent a letter through an arbitrator, who was then supposed to deliver it to Kate.

Another source said: “Kate learned about Jon wanting to slow down the divorce the same way everyone did, by reading about it. She was shocked and surprised.”

Formula One star Lewis Hamilton has denied reports that he has split with girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger.

Recent reports claimed that the pair, who have been dating for the past two years, had split after Lewis, 24, felt under pressure to settle down and have children.

However, Lewis denied reports he had split with the 30-year-old Pussycat Dolls star and asked about the split, he said: “That is bull****. We are still together.”

Nicole often supports her superstar boyfriend trackside but she wasn’t at his recent race in Monza for the final lap of the Italian Grand Prix.

Playboy magazine magnate Hugh Hefner, 83, has filed for divorce from his second wife, former Playmate Kimberley Conrad, after the couple’s 11-year separation.

Hefner’s filing cites irreconcilable differences, Los Angeles court records show. But the filing is said to be triggered by Conrad suing her husband in recent weeks for $5million over the sale of a home they owned together.

Conrad, 47, has two children with Hefner. She has lived with his monetary support – $250,000 per year – in a home next to the Playboy mansion.

Hefner has a few dates right now and says marriage is not on the cards. “It’s unlikely since I haven’t been very successful at it. But anything is possible.”

He is said to be seeing Playmates Crystal Harris, 23, and twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon, 19.

Hefner says he does not owe Conrad money and has honoured a prenuptial arrangement the pair had. He said: “I would’ve been happy to divorce her when we separated, but she wanted to remain married for our boys.”

Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush split because he found texts from Kanye West on her phone, it has now been claimed.

Reality star Kim, 28, split with NFL star Reggie earlier this month after dating for two years.

It has previously been claimed that the split was down to conflicts with their careers, however now reports say the couple broke up because of the texts. An insider said that the relationship had “been rocky for a while”.

However, it’s claimed there was another reason for the split and a source said to FOX411: “Reggie saw text messages on Kim’s phone from Kanye West and flipped out on her.”

The source added: “The texts referenced a night they hung out, how much fun he had, how hot Kim was, and more racy things that got Reggie’s imagination running.”

Reggie then allegedly confronted Kim and they had a bust-up where jealousy issues arose, according to the insider.

The source added: “They realised there were trust issues on both sides, and couldn’t go forward.”

Katie Price has revealed she kissed another man, while still married to husband Peter Andre.

Price, who split from the singer nine weeks ago, admitted that she snogged another man during her highly publicised trip to Ibiza this month.

She said: “I’ve kissed someone, that’s it.”

Andre, 36, has made a public vow to remain celibate until the couple’s divorce is finalised, however Price, 31, doesn’t seem prepared to wait that long.

When questioned on whether the incident constituted infidelity, the infamous glamour model denied she had cheated on her husband of three and a half years: “No because we’ve split and everyone knows we are doing our divorce.”

Brighton-born Price added that she had flirted with men during her recent stay on the party isle, where she was pictured skimpily dressed at various nightclubs: “I did in Ibizia,” she continued, “I am a show off, I’m an exhibitionist.”

Both Andre and Price have spoken about the couple’s difficulty to reconcile the mother of three’s conflicting personality traits, specifically her alter ego which saw her shoot to fame as the UK’s most famous glamour model.

“There’ll always be a Jordan side to me,” Price acknowledged.

The singer who has filled for divorce from his wife Katie Price is apparently fighting in order to get access to his children and is pressing the matter legally too. A source said the following about Peter Andre’s new battle: “The only thing Pete cares about is his children. He doesn’t want any money from Kate, she can keep the house. He just wants as much access to his children as he can. The children are living with Kate and she dictates when Pete can see them.” Right, but she was so open and friendly to Peter Andre recently… or was that just a way of saying “screw you, I’m keeping the kids so ha!”

The singer and his estranged wife are now engaged in what military terms might designate as being open war. After being slandered, Peter Andre is gathering up his forces in order to see how he can strike back, as a source relates: “He is fuming about what’s been said. He’s going to meet his people to see what can be done. As far as he’s concerned, it’s a new low, getting pals to take sides and make vicious slurs.” So this is the part of the whole mess that’s actually going to be entertaining, right?
