An unusually chipper Busta Rhymes arrived at court for the start of his trial a few days ago. Maybe it’s because he already had an idea that he wouldn’t really have to stand in front of a jury of his peers.
Judge Larry Stevens pushed back the start of Busta’s, real name Trevor Smith, trial to Novermber 7. R. Kelly anyone? The rapper has been charged with assault, DUI and driving without a license arising from four arrests in the lat ten months. There’s also a standing lawsuit filed by a fan who claims that he was busted in the head by the rapper’s security team at a concert last year.
