Hugh Jackman reveals tough workout and diet for Wolverine

Hugh Jackman is picture perfect for the role of muscle man Wolverine but did you know how much pain was involved to get into that body? The 40-year old 6′3″ Sexiest Man Alive Hugh Jackman a.k.a. Wolverine worked out for at least an hour and a half every other day for one year to get into the body needed to respond to the rigorous role of Wolverine. Not only that. Hugh Jackman also woke up at 4a.m. daily for his routine training and was greeted by a breakfast consisting of egg whites and a dry piece of brown toast. This was then followed by a meal of vegetables and steamed chicken which was given to him every three hours.
Hugh Jackman said he wanted Wolverine to look not only animalistic but freaky as well not just a muscle man. He said he wanted to achieve a look which would make people a little frightened and uncomfortable of him. But no matter how Hugh Jackman allows his character to get that badass attitude, he had every female shrieking with delight when they saw him emerge from a tank of water in all his glory. The actor is known for preparing rigorously for every role including benching 315 pounds and leg pressing 1,000 to prepare for the X-Men: The Last Stand, doing yoga and perfected key tai chi forms for The Fountain.
