Joan Jett Biopic for Twilight Star

‘Twilight’ actress Kristen Stewart has reportedly been tapped to play lesbian icon Joan Jett in the rock biopic ‘The Runaways’. The musician also happens to be the executive producer for the flick which is about the first commercially successful all-girl band of which she was a member. The film will chronicle the band’s teenage rise to stardom and their ultimate dissolution. Music video director Floria Sigismondi penned the screenplay and is directing the project set to film in 2009. Filming will work around Kristen’s ‘Twilight’ schedule which already has 2 sequels lined up. Let’s hope Kristen brings more life to this project than the stiffness that she was in ‘Twilight’.
