Seems like the New Year festivities brought about a lot of tension across the world. Instead of happy groups making resolutions such as quitting smoking and eating less; there were people fighting and being arrested all over the place. Celebs included.
Former boyband singer Lee Ryan was arrested following an alleged assault on a taxi driver on New Years’ Eve. The ex-Blue star was on his way to a party in Oxted, Surrey when his taxi was involved in a minor traffic accident. Apparently tempers flared, causing the taxi-driver to radio his operator, who in turn contacted the police. They arrived and arrested Ryan, who was taken to a nearby police station for questioning.
Police confirmed that a 24-year-old man was detained on suspicion of assault and released on bail until February.
